Pelle Miljoona (Petri Tiili) one of Finland´s first punk rockers has his 50 year anniversary on the 10th February 2005. One of Finland's most influential opinion-leader Helsingin Sanomat newspaper put Pelle Miljoona on the cover of the Sunday issue and wrote a whole page article "Uncle Pelle´s circus won't stop". Pelle Miljoona & N.U.S. made their first single "Mä vain pogoon" ("I only pogo") in 1977/1978. Pelle took his dad on the back seat of Ford Taunus and played proudly his first record. Dad was quickly in 10 seconds out of the Taunus. Since then Pelle has made many rock classics with his bands 1980, Avoimet Ovet (Open Doors) and Rockers. Pelle has written also many books and is now releasing his biography "Pelle Miljoona - Elossa ja potkii" ("Alive and kicking"). 50 ? - "Getting old is not a pleasure, but fortunately one gets skiing in the Central Park."

Lamppu Laamanen has written a book titled "Matkalla tuntemattomaan - Pelle Miljoona muiden mukaan" about Pelle Miljoona, who had his 50-years anniversary in February 2005. Here's a pic from the book. 22-Pistepirkko album and book
22-Pistepirkko originally from Utajarvi, northern Finland, releases a new album Drops & Kicks and a book 22-Pistepirkko in the spring of 2005. Keranen brothers Asko and Hannu P-K formed the group in 1981. 22-Pistepirkko style has been mostly close to alternative and garage rock. Best known hit song has been Birdy. The book describes band`s voyage to today`s music industry`s manners. In the early days Pistepirkkos were forced to call to the relatives living in Helsinki to be able to hear a short clip from Slade`s album. P-K 25 years later in YleQ radio program 5.2.2005: Move Over - Slade. This hit you hard? PKK: Yes, really hard. I remember, when I first heard it... We did play this a lot with open mouth - how can something sound this way! Then I became a hard Slade fan. I cut a Dave Hill haircut... Then I managed to see them at Kuusrock 1982. Dave Hill looked quite legendary... Stage was full of London City amplifiers. When they started to play I started to laugh, oh this is absolutely sicking good. It was as good as I had imagined. It was one of those kind of moments, when you see something really good, it just makes you laughing... It was magnificient, it was good. Hanoi Rocks album Another Hostile Takeover
Hanoi Rocks is back now with their fresh new album Another Hostile Takeover, due out in April 2005. Their debut album Bangkok Shocks, Saigon Shakes, Hanoi Rocks was released in early 1981. Two Steps From The Move album with producer Bob Ezrin (Pink Floyd, Alice Cooper, Rod Stewart etc.) came out in 1984. Their cover of Creedence Clearwater Revival`s Up Around The Bend was climbing the U.K. and U.S. charts. Hanoi Rocks disbanded in early 1985. In 2001 after having relocated to Finland from U.S.A. frontman Michael Monroe and lead guitarist Andy McCoy reformed Hanoi Rocks. Hanoi Rocks gigs spring and summer 2005:
Hanoi Rocks played a short set on the shelter of the main entrance of the Stockmann department store in Helsinki on Friday afternoon 15th April 2005. Thousands of people gathered in the streets in the Centrum stopping the traffic in the main streets.
